Please Note:

X Rays do not show all forms of Cancer and in particular Lung Cancer. The only way to detect Cancer Early is to have a CT scan. For example if Lung Cancer is not detected at an early stage before spreading to the lining of the Lung, Lymph Glands and the Brain then the chances are survival are zero. An operation is the only hope if the Cancer is caught at a very early stage and even then the chances of survival are 1% for 5 years. Cost is the main element as it costs far less for an X Ray and up to £1000 for a CT scan. So insist on a CT scan at an early stage. An annual private CT scan if you are a smoker would be money well spent. I was given the all clear 3 times with an X Ray but I did have Lung Cancer. One week after being shown an X Ray and being told there was no Cancer I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. A biopsy also shows he prescence of Cancer but not necessarily which type of Cancer. Many forms of Cancer can be cured so dont be afraid to take action, but quickly not weeks but days. Whatever happens keeping a positive attitude will make you live longer. Take each day as it comes and dont be afraid to use painkillers particularly Morphene. There is no reason to die in pain and with dignity.
